The Diavolo Dance Theater (United States) is making its Hong Kong debut at this year's International Arts Carnival, with the acrobatic dance performance "Architecture in Motion". The Carnival's opening programme, this stunning work reveals seamless teamwork through dynamic dance on gigantic structures. With a variety of enormous props and mechanisms, the show is a brilliant blend of gymnastics, acrobatics and dynamic choreography, challenging the physical limits of the body - great spectacle for people of all ages.

Produced by Theatre Ronin, "Legend of the Ocean: La La & the Litter Castle" incorporates original videos and music, special sound effects and puppetry into a delightful environmental theatre performance that explores today's materialistic lifestyle and its impact on children. The performance will be conducted in Cantonese.

Performed by the Scottish Opera (United Kingdom), the interactive music-theatre production "BabyO" is tailor-made for babies between 6 and 18 months. The classically trained singers form a choir of buzzing bees, quacking ducks, croaking frogs and splashing fish. Using gentle vocals and imaginative props, they guide infants and parents through a magical garden full of colour and baby-friendly sounds.

The Konk Brothers from Italy and Norway will perform the slapstick comedy "Da Capo!-Quasi Concert". One day, the pair discover two violins and decide to disguise themselves as maestros. Integrating physical comedy and acrobatics in a madcap world, this hilarious clown pantomime is both light-hearted and fun-filled.

Tickets for these additional performances will be available from tomorrow at URBTIX. Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens, people with disabilities and their minders, and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients. Booking discounts of up to 20 per cent are available for full-price performing arts and film programmes.

The International Arts Carnival, organised by the LCSD, is one of the events under the "Vibrant Hong Kong" theme of the "Hong Kong: Our Home" Campaign. Programme brochures are available at URBTIX outlets or at the Carnival website www.hkiac.gov.hk.
