The Housing Department (HD) today (May 21) announced a list of 5,000 successful applications allotted under the quota for the Scheme of Extending the Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Secondary Market to White Form Buyers.
The HD confirmed the list after having vetted the eligibility of the applicants in accordance with the order of the priority lists determined by the ballot drawn on February 18.
"Approval letters will be issued to the first batch of 2,250 family applicants and 250 singleton applicants allotted under the quota by late May and the second batch of 2,250 family applicants and 250 singleton applicants allotted under the quota by late December," a spokesman for the HD said.
"Successful applicants may apply within six weeks from the date of the Approval Letter to the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) or the Hong Kong Housing Society (HS) for a Certificate of Eligibility to Purchase (CEP) so as to seek to purchase a suitable flat on the HOS Secondary Market or the HS' Flat-for-Sale Scheme Secondary Market. The CEP is valid for six months and holders of a CEP can apply for a one-off renewal for a further six months before its expiry," he said.
The list of successful applications has been uploaded to the HA/HD website (www.housingauthority.gov.hk). It is also posted for public inspection at the HA's Customer Service Centre in Lok Fu, Estate Offices and District Tenancy Management Offices of the HA and the HS, the Sham Shui Po Housing Information Centre and the Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department.
