Special traffic arrangements in Tuen Mun for Tin Hau Festival

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Tuen Mun between 8am and 6pm on May 21(Tuesday) to facilitate members of the public to celebrate Tin Hau Festival.

(A)  Road closures (except for vehicles permitted by Police on site)

(I)  The following roads will be closed:
 
- The section of Hang Kwai Street between its eastern and western junctions with Hang Fu Street; and

- The section of Hang Fu Street from its western junction with Hoi Wing Road to a point about 30 meters north of its western junction with Hang Kwai Street.

(II)  The following road sections will be intermittently closed:
 
- Sam Shing Street, except the westbound carriageway between its northern junction with Castle Peak Road ¡V Castle Peak Bay and the entrance of Sam Shing Bus Terminus;

- The section of northbound Castle Peak Road ¡V Castle Peak Bay between its northern junction with Sam Shing Street and its junction with Hoi Wing Road;

- The section of southbound Castle Peak Road ¡V Castle Peak Bay between its southern junction with Sam Shing Street and its junction with Hoi Wing Road;

- The section of Hoi Wing Road between its eastern junction with Hang Fu Street and its junction with Castle Peak Road ¡V Castle Peak Bay;

- The section of Hang Fu Street from a point about 30 meters north of its western junction with Hang Kwai Street to its eastern junction with Hoi Wah Road; and

- The section of Hoi Wah Road between its eastern junction with Hang Fu Street and Hoi Wing Road.

(B)   Traffic Diversion

- Vehicles on Hoi Wing Road heading for Nerine Cove are advised to travel via Hang Fu Street from its eastern junction with Hoi Wing Road.

     Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the above areas will be towed away without prior notice.

     Actual implementation will be made depending on traffic conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
