EDB exhibition to promote integrated education (with photo)

     The Education Bureau (EDB) is now holding an exhibition at Sha Tin Town Hall to enhance public understanding and support of integrated education.

     An EDB spokesman said today (April 26), "The exhibition is part of the Bureau's ongoing efforts to enhance public awareness of integrated education and promote a culture of inclusion.

     "It is also one of the 'Caring Hong Kong' events under the 'Hong Kong: Our Home' Campaign.

     "The exhibition features information on the different kinds of special educational needs (SEN) and the support measures provided by the EDB to help schools cater for students with SEN," the spokesman said.

     Also on display are 60 winning artworks of the "Visual Arts Contest on Inclusion" organised by the EDB in mid 2012, which have been selected from about 1,100 entries submitted by 170 primary, secondary and special schools.

     The exhibition will run until next Tuesday (April 30) at the Exhibition Gallery of Sha Tin Town Hall, 1, Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin. Exhibition hours are from 9am to 7pm, except on April 30 which will be from 9am to 5pm. Admission is free.
