Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate the holding of an event at the Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground on Saturday (April 27).
The following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 6pm:
A. Traffic diversion
If necessary, a section of leftmost lane of eastbound Siu Sai Wan Road (northern section) outside the Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground will be reserved for drop off of coaches, taxis and private cars.
B. Passenger alighting arrangements
The drop off zone for shuttle buses, coaches, taxis and private cars will be at the leftmost lane of Sun Yip Street, both bounds of Siu Sai Wan Road (northern section) outside the Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground and Fu Hong Street.
The following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 9.30pm:
A. Road closure
Eastbound Siu Sai Wan Road (northern section) between Sun Yip Street and Harmony Road will be closed.
B. Traffic diversion
- Traffic along On Yip Street heading for Siu Sai Wan Road will be diverted via southbound Sun Yip Street;
- Traffic along northbound Harmony Road must turn right to eastbound Siu Sai Wan Road (northern section);
- Traffic along westbound Siu Sai Wan Road (northern section) must turn left to southbound Harmony Road;
- Traffic along Sun Yip Street cannot enter Siu Sai Wan Road (northern section); and
- If necessary, Sun Yip Street between Fung Yip Street and Ka Yip Street will be re-routed one way southbound to facilitate coach queuing. In such case, traffic along northbound Sun Yip Street will be diverted to turn left to Fung Yip Street. Those exiting from eastbound Fung Yip Street will be diverted to turn right to southbound Sun Yip Street.
Suspension of bus stop

- The bus stop at Siu Sai Wan Road outside Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground for Lee On bound buses will be suspended from 6pm; and
- Bus stops at Siu Sai Wan Road outside Cheerful Garden, opposite Fullview Garden and opposite Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground for Chai Wan bound buses will be suspended from 9pm.
Suspension of green minibus (GMB) stop

The GMB stop outside Eight Commercial Tower will be suspended from 6pm.
Learner drivers prohibition

Learner drivers will not be allowed to use Siu Sai Wan Road (northern section) between Sun Yip Street and Harmony Road between 5pm and 11pm.
Suspension of parking spaces
----------------------------
The nine parking spaces for coaches and goods vehicles along the eastern pavement of Sun Yip Street between Siu Sai Wan Road and Fung Yip Street and 31 motorcycle parking meters on Fu Hong Street will be suspended between 5pm and 11pm.
Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the above areas will be towed away without prior notice.
Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made by Police depending on traffic conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
