Winners of Greater Pearl River Delta Historical Buildings Photography Competition announced (with photos)
**********************************************************

The Greater Pearl River Delta (GPRD) Historical Buildings Photography Competition has concluded successfully after receiving an enthusiastic response, with more than 700 entries received in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. Adjudicators selected the winning entries in each place, and the lists of winners have been uploaded to the GPRD Cultural Information Website (www.prdculture.org).

Entrants in the competition had to submit photos that featured historical buildings in Guangdong, Hong Kong or Macau. The adjudicators in each place picked one first, three second and six third prize winners from the local entries. The top winning photos in each place were of the "tulou" in Guangdong, Lui Seng Chun in Hong Kong and a granddad and his grandson near the Ruins of St Paul's in Macau.

The prize presentation ceremony will be held during the 14th GPRD Cultural Co-operation Meeting in May. The winning entries will be displayed at roving exhibitions to be held in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. Detailed lists of winners and the winning works are now available on the GPRD Cultural Information Website. Awardees will be notified about prize collection arrangements.

The competition was jointly organised by the Department of Culture of Guangdong Province, the Home Affairs Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region, and was co-ordinated by the Culture & Art Information Center, Guangdong Province; the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the HKSAR; and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region.
