Housing Department officers visit occupants of licensed bedspace apartments (with photos)
********************************************************

To help occupants of bedspace apartments understand the convenient access for applying for public rental housing, officers from the Housing Department (HD) have reached out to visit them.

A spokesman for the HD said, "We hope that through this outreaching exercise, we can help eligible occupants in licensed bedspace apartments to improve their living conditions as soon as possible."

Officers from the department's Applications Sub-section are visiting 13 licensed private bedspace apartments in Yau Tsim Mong, Eastern District and Wan Chai in the exercise, which started last night (March 26) and will continue tonight (March 27).

They are distributing application forms to those occupants who have not yet applied for public rental housing and explaining to them the criteria and necessary procedures for making an application. Enquiries by interested and eligible occupants who want to fill out application forms are being answered on-site.

Application forms have also been distributed to the occupants of two purpose-built singleton hostels through non-government organisations.

Interested parties should send the completed application forms together with the necessary documents to the PO Box as detailed in the form. They may also deliver their applications in person to the Housing Authority's Customer Service Centre in Lok Fu.
