Cinematic Theatre to stage "Dynasty"
************************************

Local arts group Cinematic Theatre will soon perform its latest production, "Dynasty".

In the theatre work, a photographer and a writer meet, and a strange mutual attraction leads to an unknown future. In an ancient land, the rise and fall of a dynasty marks the sufferings and the hopes of its people, a power struggle at court, and human nature that would never be lost in the passage of time. The demise of the dynasty somehow evolves into an inexplicable and strange legend.

When political power play is in force, all human beings - be they virtuous or evil to the utmost degree - cannot but bow to its engineering. In such a situation, one cannot but wonder: Was it an elusive dream like a mirage? Or was it the inevitable path along which any social reality must travel? Only time can tell.

The personnel of "Dynasty" include Lo Ching-man (playwright and director), Cheung Ping-kuen (dramaturge) and Tang Shu-wing (artistic adviser). The main cast includes Rensen Chan, Tommy the porkchop, Birdy Wong, Jo Ngai, Masu Wong, Ko Kai-cheung and Lau Chun-him. The performance comprises Part I and Part II, with continuity in their plots. Audiences are advised to purchase tickets for both Part I and Part II.

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, "Dynasty" will be performed in Cantonese at the Theatre of Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre on the following dates:

February 21 (Thursday) 8pm (Part I)
February 22 (Friday)   8pm (Part II)

February 23 (Saturday) 3pm (Part I)
February 23 (Saturday) 8pm (Part II)

February 24 (Sunday)   3pm (Part I)
February 24 (Sunday)   8pm (Part II)

Tickets priced at $100 and $140 (for each part) are now available at URBTIX outlets, on the Internet and by credit card telephone booking.
