Park volunteers get back to nature
**********************************

Siu Fok-keung and Paul Yuen have channelled their passion for nature and environmental protection into their roles as country park volunteers for the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. These exemplary guardians of flora and fauna lead hundreds of other volunteers in keeping Hong Kong's parks pristine.

The Country Parks Volunteer Scheme aims to arouse awareness of the need to protect Hong Kong's country parks through participation in management, education and conservation works. Since its introduction in 2010, more than 870 volunteers have received training and have provided more than 108,000 hours of service.

Mr Siu and Mr Yuen describe what prompted them to devote their time to this green scheme in a story that appears on news.gov.hk today (December 16) in both text and video format.
