Food ingredients and several baking ovens were found on the premises.

Under the Food Business Regulation, anyone found guilty of operating an unlicensed food factory will be liable to a maximum fine of $50,000 and six months' imprisonment.

An FEHD spokesman stressed that the department will continue to take stringent enforcement action against any unlicensed food business to safeguard food safety and public health.

"People should call FEHD's hotline at 2868 0000 to report such illegal activities," he added.
