French homemade cuisine operator Les Fils à Maman opened its first restaurant in Hong Kong today (November 20), in the company's initial expansion plan for Asia.

Located on hip Hollywood Road in Central, Les Fils à Maman's interiors and decor boast images of childhood heroes, including Astro Boy, Asterix and Obelix, in an environment redolent of childhood memories. The restaurant also serves food based on recipes from the four owners' mothers revisited by their French Chef Jean-François Ruquet.

Director of Les Fils à Maman, Mr Stéphane Bigand, said, "Hong Kong is such a dynamic city and local diners are always looking for new concepts and good products which suit their passion for food. That's why we chose Hong Kong to set up our first restaurant in Asia and from which to explore other opportunities in the region.

"Hong Kong people love homemade French cuisine and we can see a trend towards French cuisine in the city. With the deep pool of culinary talent in Hong Kong, we will train more local staff to help us run the first restaurant and then get ready for future expansion," he added.

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Andrew Davis, welcomed Les Fils à Maman's opening in Hong Kong and said, "Locals and the large number of tourists coming to Hong Kong every year love good food, and French food is a strong attraction. With its diverse clientele, Hong Kong is the best place for restaurateurs to raise their brand awareness in Asia."

About Les Fils à Maman
