The Permanent Secretary for Education, Mrs Cherry Tse, will join the National Day Delegation from the Educational Sector of Hong Kong 2012 on a professional exchange trip to Beijing this Friday (September 28). They will participate in various exchange activities while celebrating the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The 119-member delegation comprises members of relevant advisory committees on teaching and learning of the Education Bureau, principals and teachers of kindergartens and primary and secondary schools, and representatives from education organisations.
During their six-day stay from today (September 26) to October 1, the delegation will join various celebration and exchange activities. These will include a dinner hosted by officials of the Ministry of Education and a talk-cum-sharing session on the Mainland's latest developments in education, its challenges and opportunities in meeting future development. The delegation will also visit local primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, the Zhongguancun Science Park and the Beijing Space City.
The exchange programme of the National Day Delegation from the Educational Sector of Hong Kong is the seventh since its inception in 2006.
