PlanD and CEDD welcome public views on NENT NDAs Study
******************************************************

A briefing was held at Fanling today (August 18) by the Planning Department (PlanD) and the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) to listen to the public views on the North East New Territories New Development Areas (NENT NDAs) Study.

In view of the limited capacity of 320 seats of the venue while a large number of members of the public intended to attend the briefing, a government representative promised on site to the attendees and those who were not able to enter the venue that another briefing will be organised at a more suitable venue that can accommodate more members of the public.

For the briefing to be held at Ping Che/Ta Kwu Ling next Monday (August 20), taking into account of the similar capacity limitation and the opinion of the attendees today, the government agreed that a briefing to be held at a more suitable venue at another designated date so as to consult the residents of Fanling North, Ping Che/Ta Kwu Ling residents altogether.

The Government understands the aspirations of the affected residents, and will continue to communicate with the residents in a rational manner.
