Leading organisers invited to submit proposals for Hong Kong ICT Awards 2013

     The Government is inviting proposals from organisations interested in participating as leading organisers of the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2013.

     Launched in 2006 with full support from the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, the annual Hong Kong ICT Awards aim to recognise and promote the achievements of local information and communications technology (ICT) professionals and organisations in ICT innovation and application.

     The awards are granted in different categories in Hong Kong's priority ICT areas. Each award category is run by a leading organiser, which can be a non-profit trade association, professional body or relevant organisation selected through a competitive bidding process. The leading organisers will be responsible for organising award contests and managing the selection of winners in the designated categories.

     The Hong Kong ICT Awards 2013 comprises the following 10 categories:

* Best Business Award
* Best Collaboration Award
* Best Digital Entertainment Award
* Best Digital Inclusion Award
* Best Green ICT Award
* Best Innovation and Research Award
* Best Lifestyle Award
* Best Mobile Apps Award
* Best Public Service Application Award
* Best SME ICT Award

     Non-profit organisations interested in participating as a leading organiser for any one of the award categories should contact the secretariat office of the Hong Kong ICT Awards (email: info@hkictawards.hk) to obtain a proposal form. The deadline for submission of proposals is August 27, 2012.
