Latest public transport situation (as at 6.15pm)
************************************************

Public transport in Hong Kong has basically resumed normal services as at 6.15pm today (July 24).

Services of the MTR, Tramways, Peak Tram, New Lantao Bus Company, Long Win and Lok Ma Chau-Huanggang Shuttle Bus (Yellow Bus) have returned to normal. Due to fallen trees and road closures, a total of 30 KMB, New World First Bus and Citybus routes are suspended and 25 routes have been diverted. Other bus routes of these three bus companies have resumed normal services.

All inner harbour ferry services have resumed normal operations. Apart from the ferry route Tuen Mun-Tung Chung-Sha Lo Wan-Tai O, which cannot resume service today, other outlying islands ferry services have also returned to normal.

Members of the public should contact public transport operators for specific service details. They are advised to be patient as some delays may occur although the situation is returning to normal.

Due to fallen trees, fallen objects or dangerous scaffolding, the following roads are closed to all vehicular traffic:

Hong Kong Island
----------------
- Magazine Gap Road in both directions between Peak Road and Robinson Road
- Tai Tam Road in both directions near Cape Collinson Road (one-lane two-way arrangement is being implemented)
- All lanes of Bonham Road in both directions near Breezy Path

Kowloon
-------
- Slow lane of Princess Margaret Road, Shatin-bound, near Hung Hom Police Station
- All lanes of Kadoorie Avenue in both directions

New Territories
---------------
- Slow and middle lanes of San Tin Highway, Yuen Long-bound, near Pok Wai

Motorists are advised not to drive into these areas and to use alternative routes. Members of the public are advised to tune into TV/radio broadcasts to obtain the latest news on road conditions.
