The following is issued on behalf of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education:
Members of the public are invited to visit the Civic Education Exhibition 2012 to be held at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2012 (Booth 3B-C26, Children's Paradise). The fair will be open from tomorrow (July 18) to July 24 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Jointly organised by the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (CPCE) and the Home Affairs Bureau annually, the exhibition will focus this year on promoting the civic values of respect, responsibility, love and care, and inclusiveness. The exhibition will also feature information on civic education as well as a wide range of teaching materials and publications produced by the CPCE, the Education Bureau and the Independent Commission Against Corruption. Visitors can take part in interactive family games and obtain souvenirs at the exhibition booth.
A launching ceremony for the exhibition will be held at 1pm on Friday (July 20) at the stage in the Children's Paradise. Performances and a sharing session with guest speakers will be held during the ceremony. Members of the New Home Association will also stage a dance performance and share their views in order to further promote the civic values of respect and inclusiveness.
