*******************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority:

The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) has commissioned a creative partner to produce a video series entitled "Community Impressions". The series makes its debut on various channels today (July 16).

Over 2 million people live in public rental housing, and each of them may have a distinct story to tell. In the series of eight videos, various people share their feelings, experiences and anecdotes of life in public housing estates. The colourful yarns of their reminiscences are woven into vivid impressions of the public housing community.

The first story "Reminiscences of Wah Fu" is told by the protagonist who spent her carefree childhood in Wah Fu Estate. She recounts the many happy moments and interesting incidents imprinted on her memory.

Starting from mid-July, one new video will be launched each month. The public can view them on the HA's Facebook page "Public Housing Vistas" (www.facebook.com/PublicHousingVistas), the HA's channel on youtube (www.youtube.com/hkhousingauthority) as well as the HA/ Housing Department website (www.housingauthority.gov.hk). A short version of the videos will also be broadcast through the Housing Channel available in the ground floor lobby of public housing blocks.
