"Following several days of meetings, the selection committee for the posts of Under Secretaries and Political Assistants today finished meeting all the 39 Under Secretary candidates shortlisted earlier. Except for the Civil Service Bureau, where there is no Under Secretary post, the committee has identified suitable candidates for the remaining 13 bureaux," Mr Leung said.

"I promised that at least two Under Secretary candidates for each of the 13 bureaux will be available for selection by the Directors of Bureaux.      "Those five bureaux are the Security Bureau, the Transport and Works Bureau, the Environment Bureau, the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau and the Food and Health Bureau."

Applicants are required to submit their personal particulars, curriculum vitae, telephone number or email address, and preferences for the bureau, together with a short essay on their views on the future development of Hong Kong, by email to application@ce-elect-office.hk or by mail addressed to the Chief Executive-elect's Office, 12/F, West Wing, Central Government Offices, Lower Albert Road, Central, by June 21.
