"The application form and the guidelines for application will be available on the EDB website (www.edb.gov.hk/EMADS/Application) on June 25."

The briefing, to be conducted in Cantonese, will be held from 4pm to 6pm at the Lecture Theatre, 4/F, West Block, Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon.

Registration for attending the briefing has begun and seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Details are available on the EDB website (www.edb.gov.hk/EMADS).

The EMADS aims to facilitate and encourage the participation of potential and aspiring e-textbook developers for the development of a new, healthy, rich and sustainable e-textbook market in Hong Kong that would help promote better learning and teaching in the longer run. It also aims at trying out a quality vetting and assurance mechanism for e-textbooks with a view to developing a full-fledged recommended textbook list for e-textbooks.
