At the same time, a new book entitled "Islands Series - Ngong Ping and Tai O" was launched to promote community awareness on nature conservation and the scenic beauty of the district.

For the first time, the working group collaborated with the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department to organise the event with an aim of enhancing the ecological environment and biological diversity of Nei Lak Shan through sustainable nature conservation as well as promoting public awareness on nature conservation through their participation in greening work.

The new book, "Islands Series - Ngong Ping and Tai O", carries an outline of the natural environment and the history of Ngong Ping and Tai O and interviews with local people who recalled interesting stories about the origin and lives of indigenous villagers. It is now available at major bookstores.

The event was co-organised by the Conservancy Association, Ngong Ping 360 and the Islands District Office and sponsored by Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, Hong Kong International Airport, Power Assets Holdings Limited and Sino Group.
