Experience arts and fun in LCSD parks (with photo)
**************************************************

Parks are places for a verdant and relaxing environment, and they can also be places with a creative and artistic ambience too. Members of the public visiting Kowloon Park will have a chance to appreciate and purchase a variety of handicrafts and artworks at the park's Arts Fun Fair, which starts this Sunday (June 3).

The fair is organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. In addition to the fair in Kowloon Park, two fairs are continuing to be held at Hong Kong Park and Victoria Park and can also be visited for free.

This round of the arts fair at Kowloon Park will feature a wide range of stalls showcasing and selling different products. Floral and cloth artworks will appeal to visitors who indulge in home decoration. Ladies hoping to deck themselves out in glamorous accessories will find plenty to choose from, and body painting and manicures will also be available. Those who like calligraphy or painting will be able to find artworks at the drawing stalls or even have a portrait done.

The 30 stalls at the Loggia in Kowloon Park will operate from this Sunday until May 31 next year, and will be open between 1pm and 7pm on Sundays and public holidays.

The arts stalls in Hong Kong Park are set up in the outdoor area near the Flagstaff House Museum of Teaware from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until December 31 this year. Those at the South Pavilion Plaza of Victoria Park are open from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays until March 31 next year, and are suspended when there are major events in the park.

The wide variety of goods and services on offer at all the fairs cater for different interests and tastes, and they are well suited to visiting with friends or family.

For details of the fairs, please call the management offices of Kowloon Park (Tel: 2724 3344), Hong Kong Park (Tel: 2521 5041) and Victoria Park (Tel: 2890 5824) during office hours.
