Following is a transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, at a media session after hosting a cocktail reception in honour of the Hong Kong deputies to the National People's Congress and members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Beijing this evening (March 4):

Chief Executive¡GMy committment to Hong Kong and my pledge to Hong Kong people is to make sure that all the things I promised to do in the beginning of my term in 2007 will be completed. At the moment, we have momentum task to perform including the transition of my administration to the next. We have elections to hold. At the same time, external economic conditions are not well, it is important that I apply myself fully to my job to protect the interest of Hong Kong, to ensure there will be perfect stability across the transition in July.
