Puppet theatre "The Goose of Pipi" by Ming Ri Institute for Arts Education

     In the coming months the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will present a series of entertaining programmes in the Family Fun series. The first programme in the series is the children's puppet theatre production "The Goose of Pipi" by Ming Ri Institute for Arts Education.

     Pipi the goose believes that owning books will increase her intelligence, so she always proudly carries her books under her wings to show everyone how smart she is. Unfortunately for Pipi, all she knows is showing off the books - she knows nothing about the knowledge they contain nor does she help others to learn from them.

     The performances will be conducted in Cantonese. Details are as follows:

     Tickets for "The Goose of Pipi" are now available at URBTIX outlets, on the Internet and by credit card telephone booking. Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and their minders, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (limited tickets for CSSA recipients available on a first-come, first-served basis). A maximum discount of 20 per cent is offered for the Family Fun series and group booking packages.

     There will also be a series of lecture talks, tickets priced at $35 and conducted in Cantonese, on stimulating children's thinking through picture books. For details, please call 2268 7323.
