The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (December 15) that due to refurbishment and improvement works, the activity room No. 2 and table-tennis room at Java Road Sports Centre in Eastern District will be temporarily closed from December 19 to March 31, while the children's playroom will be temporarily closed from January 3 to January 26. During these periods, the public may use similar facilities at Island East Sports Centre or Siu Sai Wan Sports Centre in the same district.
The grass pitch at Yuen Long Stadium will be temporarily closed for turf maintenance from January 2 to January 22. During this period, the public may use the grass pitch at the nearby Tin Shui Wai Sports Ground.
All leisure facilities at Tai Hing Sports Centre in Tuen Mun District will be temporarily closed from January 4 to January 6 for electrical works, while the Leisure Link's counter booking services and self-service kiosk will remain. During this period, the public may use similar facilities at Leung Tin Sports Centre, Yau Oi Sports Centre or the Jockey Club Tuen Mun Butterfly Beach Sports Centre in the same district.
The grass pitch at Tuen Mun Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground will be temporarily closed for turf maintenance from January 8 to January 28. The running track will remain open. During this period, the public may use the grass pitch at the nearby Siu Lun Sports Ground.
The grass soccer pitch at Tsuen Wan Riviera Park will be temporarily closed for turf maintenance works from January 8 to January 21. During this period, the public may use the grass soccer pitch at the nearby Shing Mun Valley Sports Ground.
Meanwhile, Tsui Lam Sports Centre in Sai Kung District will be temporarily closed for improvement works from January 9 to March 31. The Leisure Link's counter booking services at the sports centre will also be suspended from February 20 to March 31. During these periods, the public may use similar facilities and services at Po Lam Sports Centre, Tseung Kwan O Sports Centre or Hang Hau Sports Centre (will be opened by the end of this month) in the same district.
