The Education Bureau (EDB) will hold two identical seminars entitled "Liberal Studies (LS) under the New Senior Secondary (NSS) Curriculum" on November 18 (Friday) and December 7 (Wednesday) for parents of students studying in Secondary Three to Five. Students are welcome to attend the seminars with their parents.
The seminars will provide an opportunity for parents to know more about the curriculum design, learning and teaching as well as the assessment modes for LS. Parents can also further understand how LS can nurture students' independent thinking and enhance their employability in the future.
The seminars will be conducted in Cantonese will include question-and-answer sessions. They will be held at 7pm to 9pm at Cheung Sha Wan Catholic Secondary School (533 Fuk Wing Street, Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon) on November 18 and at Henrietta Secondary School (2 City Garden Road, North Point, Hong Kong) on December 7.
Registration for attending the seminars will begin tomorrow (November 3) and seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. For details, please browse the EDB website (www.edb.gov.hk/parentstalks).
