Government yearbook at book fair (with photo)
*********************************************

The Government's latest yearbook, "Hong Kong 2010", went on sale at the Hong Kong Book Fair today (July 24).

The book provides an in-depth account of government policy and activities and an overview of Hong Kong life and developments in 2010. It is a useful reference source for information of record.

The front and back covers feature an extended photo collage that captures vividly the spirit and substance of Hong Kong's multi-faceted participation in the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China (Shanghai Expo) - the largest and longest publicity and promotion exercise carried out by Hong Kong at an international event.

The 21 chapters cover a wide range of subjects ranging from the economy, commerce and industry, employment, environment, social welfare, education and infrastructural development to culture and recreation, sports and the arts.

"Hong Kong 2010" has 12 colour sections with more than 110 photographs including those relating to Shanghai Expo, constitutional development, the Manila hijack victims, the revitalised "Brand Hong Kong", a caring community, green living and creative industries.

English and Chinese editions of the book are on sale at the Information Services Department (ISD) booth at the Hong Kong Book Fair.

A 25 per cent discount on the book's cover price of $170 is offered to buyers at the fair.

Purchasers are asked to bring along their own carry bag as plastic bags will not be handed out at the booth.

More than 100 other government publications are on sale at the ISD booth.

"Hong Kong 2010" and other government publications can also be bought at the ISD's Publications Sales Unit, Room 402, 4/F, Murray Building, Garden Road, Central.
