The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:
The Legislative Council (LegCo) Secretariat announced today (July 15) the lists of news media organisations authorised to use the TV/Radio Rooms (TV/R Rooms) and the Workstations at the Press Room (Workstations) of the LegCo Complex.
Pursuant to the decision of the LegCo Commission, the LegCo Secretariat invited news media organisations licensed or registered under Hong Kong legislation to apply for the use of the TV/R Rooms and the Workstations on June 29, 2011. The deadline for submitting applications was July 11, 2011. An assessment panel comprising LegCo Members and senior staff of the LegCo Secretariat is formed to assess and consider the applications.
At its meeting on July 13, 2011, the assessment panel decided to authorise the following news media organisations to use the relevant media facilities.

Digital Broadcasting Corporation Hong Kong Limited
Hong Kong Broadband Network Limited;
Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Co. Limited;

Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited;
PCCW Media Limited (NOW TV);
Phoenix Satellite Television Co. Limited;
Television Broadcasts Limited; and
Radio Television Hong Kong (Radio).
