**********************************

The Education Expo, showcasing the articulation of the New Academic Structure (NAS) with local and overseas education systems, is being held today (July 15) and tomorrow in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

A component activity of the International Education Forum and Expo (IEFE), the Education Expo is being held by the Education Bureau from 10am to 7pm today and tomorrow at Hall 3F, Level 3, the HKCEC. Admission is free.

Forty-three post-secondary and vocational education institutions are participating in the Education Expo, providing comprehensive information on multiple pathways, including locally accredited post-secondary programmes and vocational education programmes.

The participation of 12 overseas exhibitors in the Expo also enables the public to obtain first-hand information about the articulation of the NAS with overseas education systems.

Student performances, ranging from music performances and Taekwondo and ceramics demonstrations to a mini fashion show, have also been arranged for the Expo.

The Permanent Secretary for Education, Mrs Cherry Tse, today toured the Education Expo to see for herself the diverse articulation opportunities and multiple pathways under the NAS.

After the Expo tour, a Thank You Reception was hosted by Mrs Tse to give compliments to those who have contributed to the success of the IEFE. They included facilitators of parallel sessions, exhibitors, students taking part in souvenir design for the IEFE, and student ambassadors and performers at the Expo.
