The following is issued on behalf of the Electoral Affairs Commission:
Members of the public are invited to express their views on the proposed guidelines on election-related activities in respect of the Election Committee Subsector Elections at a public forum on July 15.
The forum will be held from 3pm to 4.30pm at the Community Hall, 3/F, Causeway Bay Community Centre, 7 Fook Yum Road, Causeway Bay.
"The public consultation on the proposed guidelines began on June 23 and will continue until July 22," a spokesman for the Electoral Affairs Commission said today (July 13).
Written representations can be sent to the Commission's Secretariat by post to 10/F, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai; by fax (2511 1682); or by email (eacenq@reo.gov.hk) by July 22. Late submissions will not be considered.
The proposed guidelines can be downloaded from the Commission's website (www.eac.gov.hk). They are also available at the Registration and Electoral Office and the Public Enquiry Service Centres of District Offices.
