Seminar for SMEs on "Embracing Design, Driving Value"

     The Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry Department will hold a seminar entitled "Embracing Design, Driving Value" on July 26 (Tuesday).  The seminar will introduce the Design-Business Collaboration Scheme (DBCS) and the Design Incubation Programme (DIP) launched by the Government to strengthen support for design and innovation and to enhance the use of design and creative elements in Hong Kong businesses.  The seminar will also explore how design and creativity can add value to products and services.

     At the seminar, Manager (Design) of Create Hong Kong, Ms Janet Lau, and Manager of the DIP under the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, Ms Rebekah Ng, will introduce details of the DBCS and the DIP.  Four participating designers and entrepreneurs of the DBCS and DIP, Design Director of Mingz Creations, Mr Ming Wong; Design Manager of Design Lava Consultancy Company Limited, Mr Cary Wong; Founder and Director of Visualgram Limited, Mr Justin Cheung; and Design Principal of Studio YH Limited, Mr Kenneth Yeung, will share their experiences on how they enhance their competitiveness through design and creativity.

     The seminar will be held at 2.30pm in the Lecture Theatre, G/F, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (MTR Tin Hau station, exit B). The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free.
