The Under Secretary for Home Affairs, Ms Florence Hui, attended a live question-and-answer session on the Chief Executive's Office (CEO) Facebook page "Upper Albert Road" today (May 13), discussing with the public the development of social enterprises in Hong Kong.

The question-and-answer session was conducted live on the CEO Facebook page (www.facebook.com/UpperAlbertRoad) at 7pm. During the 45-minute session, Ms Hui addressed questions and suggestions from participants on the Government's support measures for social enterprises, plans to promote their products and services, training of social entrepreneurs and challenges facing social enterprises in Hong Kong.

"It was a delight chatting with netizens on Facebook about the development of social enterprises this evening. I truly appreciate their support and participation. I hope the useful exchange today helps enhance public interest in and support for social enterprises, and encourage concerted efforts in the community to promote the development of social enterprises in Hong Kong," Ms Hui said.

For questions not answered during the session because of time constraints, the Home Affairs Bureau will provide collective responses on the CEO Facebook page.

The new question-and-answer session aims to further enrich the platforms for public engagement. Each time a current issue of public interest will be selected for discussion.  Members of the public are welcome to ask questions and share their views and opinions, and the relevant departments will respond. The full version of each session will be uploaded to "Upper Albert Road", CEO's YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/CEOffice) and CEO's Tudou channel (www.tudou.com/home/_79754323).
