The Government today (March 18) announced the reappointment of Mr Matthew Lam Kin-hong to the Management Committee of the Consumer Legal Action Fund for a term of two years with effect from April 1.
"We are grateful to Mr Lam for his continuous support of the management committee. We are confident that the management committee will continue to manage the fund efficiently and in a manner that best serves the public's interest," a Government spokesman said.
The Consumer Legal Action Fund was established in 1994 to provide financial assistance to meritorious consumer cases for legal action or other forms of assistance.
The Consumer Council is the trustee of the fund. The management committee assists the Consumer Council in managing the fund and determining the eligibility of applications under the fund.
