Draft Tin Fu Tsai Development Permission Area Plan gazetted
***********************************************************

The Town Planning Board today (January 7) announced the publication of the draft Tin Fu Tsai Development Permission Area (DPA) Plan.

The area, covering about 54.50 hectares, is about 1.8 kilometres to the east of the upper end of Tai Lam Chung Reservoir and Kat Hing Bridge.  It is completely encircled by Tai Lam Country Park.

A spokesman for the Town Planning Board said the general planning intention is to prevent haphazard developments and conserve the rural and natural character of the Tin Fu Tsai area.

The entire area is designated "Unspecified Use", pending detailed analysis and studies to establish the appropriate land uses in the course of preparing an Outline Zoning Plan.

The draft Tin Fu Tsai DPA Plan is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Tuen Mun and Yuen Long District Planning Office, Tuen Mun District Office, the Butterfly/Wu King Sub-office and the Leung King Sub-office of Tuen Mun District Office, the Yuen Long District Office and Tuen Mun Rural Committee.

Any person may make representations in respect of the draft plan to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before March 7.

Copies of the draft plan are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei.  The electronic version of the draft plan can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
