The Labour Department will hold a job fair at Kingswood Ginza, Tin Shui Wai, on March 19 (Friday), providing around 500 vacancies for job seekers.
Ten companies mainly from the catering, property management and transport industries will set up counters for on-the-spot recruitment. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as manager, officer, waiter/waitress, cashier, storekeeper and security guard. Job seekers who want to know more about the vacancies may visit the department's website on Interactive Employment Service ( www.jobs.gov.hk ).
About 90% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. The majority of the vacancies offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. Over 95% of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. About 70% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience. Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot registration for job seekers.
The job fair will be held from 11am to 5.30pm at G/F, Cine Valley, Kingswood Ginza, 18 Tin Yan Road, Tin Shui Wai. Admission is free.
