The Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, today (September 18) welcomed the publication of the annual report of the Process Review Panel for the Securities and Futures Commission (PRP), which covers the work of the PRP in 2008-09.
"The annual report of the PRP contains a comprehensive review of the adequacy of selected internal procedures of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). The PRP has made a number of constructive recommendations to improve the efficiency, fairness and transparency of the SFC's procedures and to foster a compliance culture in the industry. The PRP, with the full co-operation of the SFC, has made invaluable contributions to further enhancing the accountability of the SFC," Mr Tsang said.
"I am thankful to the Chairman, Mr Anthony Chow, and members of the panel for their dedication in the past year. I look forward to their continued contribution in the coming year," Mr Tsang added.
