The Civil Engineering and Development Department today (July 20) launched the ˇ§My Vision of Cross Bay Linkˇ¨ event to collect ideas and concepts from the public on the form, appearance and aesthetics of Cross Bay Link in Tseung Kwan O.
The Cross Bay Link and the Tseung Kwan O ˇV Lam Tin Tunnel will form a new external road network to cater for the projected traffic flow generated from future population intake and developments in Tseung Kwan O. Since the Cross Bay Link is located at a prominent location in Tseung Kwan O, this event offers an opportunity to turn it into a feature bridge and a future landmark of Tseung Kwan O new town.
The invitation event is divided into two categories. The Professional Group is open to full, professional or fellow members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Hong Kong Institute of Architects and Hong Kong Designers Association as well as members of equivalent professional institutes. The Open Group is open to all Hong Kong residents holding valid Hong Kong identity cards without any qualifications under the Professional Group.
Interested people are invited to submit their ideas and design concepts for the Cross Bay Link to the New Territories East Development Office of the Civil Engineering and Development Department, Suite 1213 Chinachem Golden Plaza, 77 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, between August 31 and September 10. Outstanding entries will be given prizes and may be incorporated in the final design of Cross Bay Link.
