The Judiciary announced today (June 11) the appointment of Her Honour Judge Queeny Au Yeung Kwai-yue as Registrar of the High Court. Her appointment will take effect from August 1.
The appointment is made by the Chief Executive on the recommendation of the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission.
The biographical note of Her Honour Judge Au Yeung is as follows:
Her Honour Judge Au Yeung was born in Hong Kong in 1962. She obtained LL.B and P.C.LL. from the University of Hong Kong in 1984 and 1985 respectively. She was called to the Bar in Hong Kong in 1985 and was in private practice since 1986. She was appointed by the Hong Kong Judiciary as Magistrate in 1995, Registrar of the District Court in 2001 and District Judge in 2003.
