The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (February 27) obtained three orders for payments of outstanding MPF contributions at about $430,000 against three employers in the District Court.
The District Court today issued judgments against the employers, Hin Sum Manpower Company Limited, Sky Elegant Corporation Limited trading as Chiu Chow Aroma and Gobacel Limited. The defendants were ordered to pay the MPFA $291,881.81, $91,551.22 and $50,874.32, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable to five, 17 and three employees of the defendants respectively.
The amounts awarded at the District Court will be reimbursed to the employees' MPF accounts as soon as they are received by the MPFA. The District Court further awarded payments of $930 each for the District Court cases.
