The Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Mr Wu Bangguo, started the second day (December 3) of his stay in Hong Kong by visiting the AsiaWorld-Expo, the venue of the ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006.
He was accompanied by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang.
Upon arrival at the venue, Mr Wu was received by the ITU Secretary-General, Mr Yoshio Utsumi. Mr Wu signed the guest book and was taken on a tour of the exhibitors¡¦ booths by Mr Utsumi.
Mr Wu showed great interest in the exhibits, spending about half an hour looking through them. He visited a number of booths, including the Hong Kong, China Pavilion, which occupies an area of 2,528 square metres.
Mr Wu then had a short meeting with the CEOs of eight participating international companies.
