Exhibition of primary and secondary schools students' creative visual arts work

    The public have been invited to the "Exhibition of Primary and Secondary Schools Students' Creative Visual Arts Work (2005)" held by the Education and Manpower Bureau from tomorrow (January 16) to February 18 at the Exhibition Rooms of the Arts Education Section.

     The exhibition, featuring visual arts works from various primary and secondary schools, aims to provide opportunities for students and teachers to exchange views and learn from one another. It also encourages people to appreciate local students' accomplishments in creative visual arts.

     This year, the exhibition has drawn a positive response from nearly 350 primary and secondary schools. More than 1,000 pieces were selected from more than 4,000 entries of visual arts works.

     The exhibition will display a variety of visual arts works, such as drawing, painting, design, printmaking, sculpture, crafts, computer work and portfolios of project work. All the entries reflect the thinking and feeling of the students through different themes, media and format.

     People are welcome to visit the exhibition and admission is free. Details are as below:

Venue: Arts Education Section, Education and Manpower Bureau
       4/F and 5/F, 4 Pak Fuk Road, North Point, Hong Kong

Date: January 16 to February 18, 2006

Opening hours: 9am to 5pm on weekdays
               9am to noon on Saturdays
               (Closed on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and public holidays)
