Following is the transcript (English portion) of remarks made by the Financial Secretary, Mr Henry Tang, at a media session on the Policy Address this afternoon (October 12):
The Chief Executive's first Policy Address is a very practical and very realistic policy address. I will continue to discharge the responsibilities of the Financial Secretary in co-ordinating the policies set out in the Policy Address. I have a strong belief that on the development of our economic policies, we will continue to rely on our policies of both investment as well as economic development in the Mainland as well as our outward-looking economy.
I am confident that we will be able to attain better and higher achievements in the future.
