12 pre-sale consents issued in third quarter 2003

The Lands Department issued 12 consents for the sale of residential units in uncompleted developments between July and September 2003. All of them were issued within the department's performance target time limit.

A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (October 13) that these consents involved the sale of 6,238 residential units in various districts of Hong Kong. One of these developments comprising 112 units is expected to be completed in 2003, seven should be finished in 2004 and the remaining four in 2005.

At September 30, a further 12 applications for pre-sale consent involving 6,565 residential units located in various parts of Hong Kong were pending approval. Of the 12 developments, two are expected to be completed in 2003, seven in 2004 and the remaining three in 200. Six applications for pre-sale consent involving commercial units were also pending approval.

Information on the pre-sale consents issued over the past six months and cases pending approval is available on the hotline 2147 5475 or by visiting the Lands Department website at www.info.gov.hk/landsd/.

The names of the developer, its parent company (if any), solicitors firm acting, authorised person (including the name of the firm) and the mortgagee bank (if any) in respect of individual developments are available to the public in the form of reports obtainable through the fax-on-demand facilities of the hotline or the Lands Department website.
