Four pre-sale consents issued in August

The Lands Department issued four consents for the sale of 2,865 residential units in uncompleted development projects last month (August).

The residential projects, located in the New Territories and on Hong Kong Island, are expected to be completed between March 2004 and March 2005, a spokesman for the department said today (September 4).

The department also issued two consents to assign involving 2,944 residential units in August.

At the end of the month, there were 16 applications for pre-sale consent involving a total of 6,254 residential units throughout the territory. All of them are expected to be completed before March 2005. There were six applications for pre-sale consent involving commercial units in Kowloon pending approval.

In addition, there were six applications for consent to assign involving 5,322 residential units and two applications for consent to assign for commercial developments.

For information on the pre-sale consents, members of the public can call the Lands Department at 2147 5475 or visit its website at www.info.gov.hk/landsd.

The names of the developers, their parent companies (if any), solicitors firm acting, authorised person (including the name of the firm) and the mortgagee bank (if any) in respect of individual developments are also available to the public in the form of reports obtainable through the fax-on-demand facilities of the hotline or the Lands Department website.
