Following is the transcript (English portion) of the media session given by the Acting Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, in the Central Government Offices (Main Wing) lobby after the Executive Council meeting today (April 29):
Mr Tsang: Mr Lau has died gallantly. The whole community grieved his passing. His death really represents the highest honour, highest sense of duty which a public servant can give in helping other people and sacrificing his own life. We raised for discussion in Executive Council this morning and we have discussed with Mrs Lau the arrangement for burial. We have decided that if Mrs Lau agrees, we would wish to bury Mr Lau in a permanent graveyard of Gallant Garden. It is unanimously agreed by the Executive Council today. Thank you very much.
