Enhancement of Submission Arrangement of Planning Applications (February 2021)

New arrangement will take effect on 1.3.2021 to encourage soft copy submission for applications under s.12A, s.16, s.16A(2) and s.17 of the Town Planning Ordinance (the Ordinance) for less paper consumption and facilitating public inspection of applications online.

Under the new submission arrangement, if the applicants choose to provide soft copy of plans/drawings and supplementary information (SI), such as planning statement and technical assessments, the required number of copies of these documents will be reduced to 8 hard copies and 1 soft copy for applications under s.12A, s.16 and s.17. For applications under s.16A(2), 3 hard copies and 1 soft copy will be required. The submissions will be made available on the TPB website for public inspection. For applicants who opt for submission of hard copy only, the current requirement of 70 hard copies of the plans/drawings and SI for s.12A/s.16 application, 12 hard copies for s.16A(2) application, or 90 hard copies for s.17 review application remains unchanged.

Applications submitted on or after 1.3.2021 are required to comply with the requirements as stipulated in the relevant revised Guidance Notes. The revised Guidance Notes and the application forms can be obtained from:
