LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER SOUTHEASTERN CHINA IS
BRINGING GENERALLY FINE WEATHER TO EASTERN GUANGDONG.
BESIDES, SHOWERS ASSOCIATED WITH SEVERE TYPHOON KAJIKI ARE
AFFECTING THE WESTERN COAST OF GUANGDONG AND THE
NORTHWESTERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA.


 
AT 8 P.M., KAJIKI WAS CENTRED ABOUT 60 KILOMETRES SOUTH OF
SANYA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 18
KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE SEAS SOUTH OF HAINAN ISLAND.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW


 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
TOMORROW MORNING. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT 27
DEGREES. SUNNY INTERVALS DURING THE DAY WITH A MAXIMUM
TEMPERATURE OF AROUND 32 DEGREES. MODERATE TO FRESH EAST TO
SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS, OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE AND ON
HIGH GROUND AT FIRST. THERE WILL BE SWELLS.


 
OUTLOOK : SUNNY INTERVALS AND A FEW SHOWERS IN THE
FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS. THE WEATHER WILL BECOME UNSETTLED
IN THE LATTER PART OF THIS WEEK.
