HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
UNDER THE COMBINED EFFECT OF A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER
SOUTHEASTERN CHINA AND TROPICAL CYCLONE KAJIKI, IT IS WINDY
OVER THE COAST OF GUANGDONG. BESIDES, SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE AFFECTING THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH
CHINA SEA AND THE COASTAL AREAS.


 
AT NOON, TYPHOON KAJIKI WAS CENTRED ABOUT 660 KILOMETRES
SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF HONG KONG. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE WEST
AT ABOUT 18 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE SEAS SOUTH OF
HAINAN ISLAND.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT


 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS AND ISOLATED SQUALLY
THUNDERSTORMS. SUNNY INTERVALS IN THE AFTERNOON. MODERATE
TO FRESH EASTERLY WINDS, STRONG OFFSHORE AND ON HIGH GROUND
AT FIRST. THERE WILL BE SWELLS.


 
OUTLOOK : SUNNY INTERVALS AND A FEW SHOWERS IN THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS. THE WEATHER WILL BECOME UNSETTLED IN THE
LATTER PART OF THIS WEEK.
