HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
 
THE MONSOON DEPRESSION NEAR BEIBU WAN IS BRINGING SHOWERS
AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS TO THE COAST OF GUANGDONG AND THE
NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA. LOCALLY, MORE THAN 10
MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE RECORDED OVER MANY PLACES IN
THE AFTERNOON.
 
TROPICAL STORM GUCHOL HAS INTENSIFIED INTO A SEVERE
TROPICAL STORM. AT 4 P.M., GUCHOL WAS CENTRED ABOUT 1360
KILOMETRES EAST OF MANILA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTHWEST
OR WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 10 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS
THE SEAS EAST OF THE PHILIPPINES, AND INTENSIFY GRADUALLY.
 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS. A FEW SQUALLY
THUNDERSTORMS AT FIRST. SHOWERS WILL LESSEN WITH SUNNY
INTERVALS TOMORROW AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE
BETWEEN 27 AND 32 DEGREES. MODERATE SOUTH TO SOUTHEASTERLY
WINDS, FRESH AT FIRST.
