AN INTENSE NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING THE COASTAL AREAS
OF SOUTHERN CHINA. LOCALLY, TEMPERATURES OVER THE TERRITORY
TODAY AFTERNOON WERE GENERALLY TWO TO THREE DEGREES LOWER
THAN THOSE OF YESTERDAY.
AT 4 P.M., TROPICAL STORM NYATOH WAS CENTRED ABOUT 390
KILOMETRES NORTH OF YAP. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 18 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE
SEAS EAST OF THE PHILIPPINES.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
FINE. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL APPRECIABLY OVERNIGHT. RATHER
COOL TOMORROW MORNING WITH A MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF ABOUT
14 DEGREES IN THE URBAN AREAS, AND A FEW DEGREES LOWER IN
THE NEW TERRITORIES. VERY DRY DURING THE DAY WITH A MAXIMUM
TEMPERATURE OF AROUND 20 DEGREES. MODERATE TO FRESH NORTH
TO NORTHEASTERLY WINDS, STRONG OFFSHORE AND ON HIGH GROUND
AT FIRST.
OUTLOOK : FINE AND VERY DRY IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF
DAYS. RATHER COOL IN THE MORNING. THE TEMPERATURE
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DAY AND NIGHT WILL BE RELATIVELY LARGE.
