HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
THE NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING SOUTHERN CHINA.
MEANWHILE, A BAND OF CLOUDS IS COVERING THE COAST OF
GUANGDONG.


 
SEVERE TROPICAL STORM MALOU HAS INTENSIFIED INTO A TYPHOON.
AT 10 P.M., MALOU WAS CENTRED ABOUT 330 KILOMETRES
SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF IWO JIMA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
NORTH-NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 22 KILOMETRES PER HOUR IN THE
GENERAL DIRECTION OF THE SEAS SOUTH OF JAPAN.
 
MEANWHILE, THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION OVER THE SOUTHERN PART
OF VIETNAM HAS WEAKENED INTO AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW


 
MAINLY CLOUDY. ONE OR TWO RAIN PATCHES TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
MORNING. SUNNY PERIODS IN THE AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES WILL
RANGE BETWEEN 24 AND 27 DEGREES. MODERATE EAST TO
NORTHEASTERLY WINDS, OCCASIONALLY FRESH OFFSHORE.
